From an idea to an invitation your guests understand

Start with one decision: are you inviting your own people, or submitting a public event meant for discovery? Keeping these flows separate makes privacy, guest expectations and moderation clearer.

Private invitations and guest lists are separate from public event discovery. Event creation and social features follow eligibility and access rules.

Private events for invited people

Choose an occasion, name and time, then invite your intended guests. A reply helps plan but is not proof of attendance. Sensitive details should only be accessible to authorized invitees.

Public events require review

Concerts, exhibitions and other events submitted for public discovery are moderated. Creating a private party does not create a public venue or grant organizer permissions.

Before, during and after

At eligible public events, Going records plans and event chat can support communication under access rules. Check-in and temporary presence are distinct from intended attendance.
